Lime got a Llama

Lime has a new buddy! Llama! A stuffed animal llama that My big sister gave him. He's the perfect size for Lime to ride.

Yes, I know Llama is a lame name for a llama.

Bit of a story here. My sister's and I are avid Harvest Moon fans. Its a video game series. About farming. Ya... ... ...

Anyway, for my birthday, my big sister Janalyn gave me the newest game that came out on the Nintendo DS system. She had to wait a few more weeks for hers since she has the 3DS and the version for it came out later. Because she preordered it, she got a free stuffed llama with her game. Being the awesome sister that she is, this was her train of thought:

Llama + Janalyn = cool.

Llama + Katrina + small enough for Lime = AWESOME!

So when she finally got to see me (after the craziness of the Natasha's wedding) she gave me the llama. It just makes me so giggly and happy seeing the pair of them together.

The group with Slim, Lime, and Llama. The toys are Polly Pocket electronics.

Lime Intro

Now that you've seen the boy nude, I think introductions are in order.

Lime Green Rowley
(Cherishdoll Faith Chubby)

Bio: Lime has a sweet personality despite his sour name. He's the kind of little boy who would rather paint or read than run rampant outside. That's not to say that he doesn't have that boyish rambunctious spirit, especially while playing with his little sister, Cherry. His sister also brings out a fiercely protective side of him. If you ask her, he's the world's best big brother!

His best friend is a pig named Slim. The two of them are not often seen without the other.

Hmm... I seem to like photographing his left side more. Need to mix that up a bit next time.

Real History: (add as soon as I get back from work!)

Bath Time

Warning: Doll nakedness

So, where do you pose a naked doll. In the bath! I mentioned earlier about buying this Bratz bath set. Now I'm puttting it to good use. Threw in some of the bubble wrap from the box he came in. Walla! Bath time shoot!

Look who jumped in! Silly Slim.

Box Opening

Warning: Naked Dollness

Yes, I most certainly did wake up early this morning and walk to the Post Office to get Lime ASAP. There was this really chill wind in my face and the walk seemed to go on forever (even though it was only about a block down the street, lucky me!). But with parcel in hand and the wind to my back, the walk back took no time at all! Before I knew it, I was tearing that box open, and this is what I found.

Included were company paraphenelia: postcard, post-it notes, business card, and pamphlet.

Wig and eyes in the bags above. The sticker seal says 'Lovely'.

My little mummy nestled between two pillows.

Sightless, hairless Lime
I was really tired and in need of some more sleep, but I couldn't nap before dressing him up and taking pictures! His first photo shoot will be featured in the next few posts.

Bout Time!

I'm just bursting with excitement! Agh, if only I hadn't been called in to work today. Or if the UPS guy had been at my door just a half hour earlier. Why is the universe conspiring to keep us apart as long as possible dear Lime? Well no longer. Tomorrow morning I am walking down to the post office and arriving exactly at 8:30 when it opens to get my little boy. And then I will probably float home in a cloud of giddiness and tear the box open. Goodness, I might not be able to sleep tonight!

The Next Doll I'm Going to Buy

elfiN Bebe Mayo!

OMG! I saw her and fell in love! She's tinier than tiny (nearly half the size of little Lime) with huge eyes. I'm thinking I will restrain myself to wait and buy her as a Christmas present to myself. I might be able to last that long.

As for her name, of course I'm leaning towards Cherry or Peach.

Picture spam time!

Inevitable doom

Well, earlier than I thought, Tasha is leaving me to get things ready for her wedding. So my time living alone starts soon. I was hoping Lime would be here by now. But at least I finally got an answer on Cherish. I asked them essentially what was taking so long. They informed me that it actually takes 4 weeks for the dolls with makeup, not the "within 3 weeks" that the website had posted. Hmmm... maybe they should fix that. Oh well. Word for word:

Hi Katrina.

Sorry for our late response!!
We have been back
to Korea from oversea doll events yesterday.

It takes basically 4
weeks for make-up dolls for its shipping, so it will be next week in your
case. We will be able to complete make-up the coming Tuesday and ship
ealier than 28 of October. As a gift we will send you a pair of acrylic
eyes.

You would be informed by e-mail again when your order gets
readt for shipping.
Thank you!

Have a wonderful
weekend.

Cherish

Well, at least I know he should be here next week. And he might make it in time to wear his Halloween costume. Cross your finger.

Aesthetics

I bought this book on Amazon, and it arrived yesterday! YAY!
It has a ton of really good information that I appreciate having all in one book. I mean, you can find and learn all the things it tells you about online, but in this book format, everything is together and easy to find. And tangible, which is the #1 reason I love books!
The other reason I love it: She keeps reassuring me that I am not crazy. Obsessed, but not crazy.

So, one of the things I have been thinking about that she talks about in the book is finding your own aesthetic. Meaning, finding out which kind of doll you find most attractive and why. While browsing all the dolls, I have found many I love, but I sometimes look back at them later, and change my mind. So I decided to post a little about the dolls I find that I love (but can't afford to get right now) so that I can study my own aesthetic.

There are categories, and if you know a little about BJDs they will make sense. Otherwise, just roll with it.
